India's Ajinkya Rahane was disappointed with his dismissal on 46 on day 5 of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in London. Rahane was looking in good touch when he was dismissed by Trent Boult, edging behind wicketkeeper BJ Watling.
Rahane said that he was disappointed with the way he got out, but he was proud of the way India fought back in the match. "I am disappointed with the way I got out," Rahane said. "I was looking in good touch and I wanted to score big runs for the team. But I will learn from this and come back stronger."
India set a target of 342 runs to win the match, but they were bowled out for 217 in their second innings. New Zealand won the match by 183 runs to be crowned the inaugural WTC champions.
Rahane said that India was disappointed with the result, but they were proud of the way they fought back in the match. "We are disappointed with the result," Rahane said. "We wanted to win the match and become the first team to win the WTC. But we fought back well and we are proud of the way we played."
